In this role you are required to:

The Operational Purchaser leads the operational procurement tasks within the Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE), including managing suppliers, conducting purchasing activities and performing procurement reporting and analysis. The Operational Purchaser works closely with the Head of Procurement CoE, the Procurement Coordinators, the Tendering/Contracting specialist, and Category Purchasers.


Customer Service:

  • Drives and supports the business stakeholder management
  • Provides procurement guidance and support to employees
  • Develops and holds procurement trainings


Supplier Management:

  • Negotiates with suppliers and selects the suitable vendors
  • Manages (frame) contracts


Operational Procurement:

  • Reviews, processes and monitors Purchase Requests
  • Creates and manages POs in SAP ByD, if applicable
  • Ensures correctness and completeness of the master data for the assigned categories/topics
  • Acts as a deputy for the Head of Procurement CoE
  • Acts as a back-up for Category Purchasers, if required



  • Analyses and monitors data related to key suppliers, purchasing activities and volumes
  • Ensures procurement best practices and policy compliance

To master this challenge, you have

Educational Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or another similar field


Job Experience:

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, tendering, pricing, negotiations, or relevant experience
  • Proven track record in operating in a global business environment and ideally experience in managing relationships with, or working knowledge of third-party providers

  • Expertise in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (preferably SAP ByD)


Language Skills:

  • Fluent written and verbal English, German is preferred, other languages are a plus
