In this job you are required to:

  • Project manage and take ownership of assigned Educational Events in line with AO’s Global Education Process and Educational Guidelines in close collaboration with course chairs 
  • Help to facilitate smooth collaboration within operational event delivery team and especially Event Specialists 
  • Build and manage relationships with Chairperson and Faculty, supporting in in the development of scientific programs, event details and faculty invitation in the given timeline
  • Identify and invite Faculty and Speakers in close collaboration with the Course Chairs
  • Close collaboration with DePuy Synthes staff on event technical support, education grant and voucher purchase
  • Perform as an income/ revenue expert by generating revenues through relationship/sales, further liaise and instruct Event Specialists on available budget 
  • Manage regional / local community campaigns - booth and symposium management during congresses - including congress presence and acquisition of new members
  • Develop local networks by engaging and building strong relationships with local Partners to embrace the local environment and understand the local needs.
  • Acquire new members and develop trustful relationships on-site during the events, expanding AO networks which will contribute to AO Education
  • Identify need for collaboration with local agencies / suppliers
  • Annual budget planning for the events in the assigned countries as part of AOs yearly budgeting cycle

To master this challenge you have:

Educational requirements

  • University Master or Bachelor degree in relevant field (e.g., hospitality, event management, public relations, communications, marketing) or higher Education „Fachausweis“


Job experience

  • Proven record of professional experience in project work or event management (3-5 years)
  • Experience in medical events/course organization is an advantage

  • Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain relations with Health Care Professional at all levels and broader stakeholders
  • Good problem solving and strong analytical skills as well as proven ability to prioritize task

  • Effective leadership skills through consistent reliability and effective support

 

Language skills

  • Fluent written and verbal English. Knowledge of other relevant languages in the region are an asset.
