Project Manager Congresses (Academic Platforms)

For our office in Zizers. We are looking for a highly motivated person to be a

Project Manager Congresses (Academic Platforms) (80-100%)

who will support the Academic Platforms team in planning and execution of the Global Networks congresses – the Global Spine Congress and FACE AHEAD.

  • Manage scientific program of the congresses from the start of the planning process until the end of the successful execution of the congresses
  • Speakers' management (invitations, point of contact for any questions and issues, Travel & Accommodation, etc.) in close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager and PCO
  • Abstracts management process (submission, review, publication) in close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager and PCO
  • CME accreditation
  • Organization of the courses
  • Development and implementation of new initiatives and projects
  • Establish and processes performance, evaluation and statistics about tasks under her/his responsibility
  • Supervising, coordinating and working closely with appointed professional congress organizer (PCO) in his/her areas of responsibility
  • Further assignment in additional projects as required by Academic Platforms Manager

In order to master this challenge, you have

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in congress planning and execution with over 1000 attendees, especially previous experience in international medical scientific congress management
  • Professional experience in organizing educational programs and events for Continuing Medical Education (CME), including abstract submission, publications etc.
  • Experience with concept development, implementation, and delivery of new and interactive e-learning educational formats
  • Experience in a medical or scientific affairs environment
  • Strong project management skills, excellent organizational and coordination skills, ability to effectively work to tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience working with event agencies and other suppliers
  • Experience in congress compliance
  • Excellent team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English, additional languages are a plus
