The AO Research Institute Davos (ARI) contributes high quality applied preclinical research and development within trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system and translation of this knowledge, as well as investigates and improves the performance of surgical procedures, devices, and substances to achieve more effective patient care worldwide. It fosters a close relationship with the AO’s medical community, academic societies, and universities and provides a research environment and support for AO clinicians.

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out scientific work relating to project
  • Maintain Lab books and project documentation
  • Presentation as needed

 

General Responsibilities:

 

  • Liaise with home university
  • Assist with ARI tours
  • Runs experimental work under guidance of the Line Manager 
  • Report results and maintain project documentation
  • Avoid disclosure of confidential information to third parties
  • Contributes to maintain laboratory equipment 
  • Carries out sub studies

 

Remarks:
In addition to the duties specified, the employee should perform other special tasks as required by the supervisor. The employee is supporting the QM-System and adheres to the regulations in the QM System valid for his/her area of responsibility.

Main Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Working level of oral and written English 
  • Ability to learn and apply methods, complete given objectives and meet deadlines as discussed with the line manager
  • Ability to report the progress effectively and concisely

  • Confidentiality on all unpublished intellectual property, findings and other important ARI / AO data outside of ARI
