The mission of the AO Research Institute (ARI) is excellence in applied Preclinical Research and Development within trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system and translation of this knowledge to achieve more effective patient care worldwide. The ARI contributes high quality applied Preclinical Research and Development (exploratory and translational) focused towards clinical applications/solutions as well as investigates and improves the performance of surgical procedures, devices and substances. It fosters a close relationship with the AO medical community, academic societies, and universities and provides a research environment and support for AO clinicians.

Diese Arbeitsstelle eignet sich besonders für Berufsanfänger, die ihre Leidenschaft für die Laborarbeit in einem internationalen Umfeld einbringen möchten.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Mitverantwortung für den täglichen Betrieb des Biologie-Labors und der damit verbundenen organisatorischen Aufgaben (z.B. Pflege und Wartung der Geräte, Pipettenkontrollen, Bestellwesen, Entgegennahme und Verteilung von Lieferungen, Temperaturkontrollen, Laboreinführungen)
  • Aufbereiten und Aliquotieren von Lösungen und Reagenzien
  • Umsetzung und Gewährleistung der Sicherheitsbestimmungen im Laborbereich 
  • Teilnahme an der praktischen Labor-Ausbildung von Lernenden, Studierenden und Stipendiaten 
  • Mithilfe bei der Ausarbeitung von SOP-Leitlinien
  • Mithilfe bei der Isolation von Primärzellen für die interne Zellbank
  • Korrektes Protokollieren von Abläufen und Ergebnissen 
  • Pflege von internen Datenbanken (z.B. Chemikaliendatenbank etc.)
  • Mithilfe bei Projekten mit Zell- und Gewebekulturen, biochemischen und molekularbiologischen Analysen (keine eigene Projektarbeit) 

Ihre Kompetenzen

  • Abgeschlossene Ausbildung zur Laborantin/ Laborant (EFZ Fachrichtung Biologie ist von Vorteil); Berufsanfänger sind erwünscht 
  • Grundkenntnisse in der Säugerzellkultur sind von Vorteil (z.B. auch mit 3D-Zellkulturen)
  • Grundkenntnisse in der biochemischen und molekularbiologischen Analytik sind von Vorteil (z. B. spektralphotometrische Analysen, RT-PCR) 
  • Sauberes und präzises Arbeiten und hohe Zuverlässigkeit 
  • Teamfähigkeit (wir legen Wert auf eine gute und enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Teamkollegen)
  • Gute Englischkenntnisse (mündlich und schriftlich) sind vorausgesetzt 
  • Freude und Interesse an der Zusammenarbeit in einem internationalen Team
