Short description:

AO Davos Courses is the flagship event of the AO which contributes since more than 60 years to the AO’s mission by being the global #1 opportunity for HCPs to experience highly innovative and trusted, quality learning and teaching, build relations and exchange knowledge and all based on an operationally & financially sustainable model. It is the second largest event in Davos after the WEF and hold 2 weeks in December each year.

 

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate person with entrepreneurial attitude to join us.

This newly created role includes the following areas of responsibility: 

  • End-to-end delivery of the AO flagship event
  • Alignment with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Management of partnerships, sponsorships & exhibitors 
  • Execution of all the activities taking place during the event being in touch with respective team leads and AO-wide point of contact
  • AO Davos Courses budget and forecast (planning and controlling)
  • Standard reporting within existing AO financial tools and guidelines
  • Business plan creation and development with relevant key representatives
  • Evaluation of past AO Davos Courses development of opportunities
  • Implementation of event marketing and outreach activities
  • Adherence to MedTech and AO regulations and compliance standards

To master this challenge, you have

Education:

  • BSc or MSc in Business Administration, project management, business innovation or similar Job experience
  • Minimum 5 years of project and event management 
  • Proven people management experience or relevant leadership experience
  • Proven experience in managing internal and external relations and experience in effective network development
  • Experience in medical events/course organization would be an advantage

 

Key skills

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently
  • Excellent management skills with proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects and activities, in-depth un-derstanding of project and event management concepts
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Reliable, proactive and solution orientated attitude whilst being highly organized and structured
  • Having a strong business and financial understanding, including forecasting, budget setting and ensured financial stability
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, entrepreneurial and creative mindset to further develop AO Davos Courses

 

Language skills

  • Fluent written and verbal English, German is preferred, other languages are a plus
