Short Description

The AO is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by 13 visionary surgeons, the AO fosters one of the most extensive networks of over 215,000 surgeons, operating room personnel, and scientists in over 100 countries. The AO organizes more than 830 educational events, conferences, governance and other meetings around the world each year. For our Global Event Services Team we are looking for a highly-motivated person to support our team in Davos, Switzerland.

Specific Requirements

In order to master this challenge, you have:

  • At least 3 years of practical experience in a similar or comparable position
  • Working experience within an international, preferable healthcare/medical/life science, environment
  • Motivated and energetic self-starter with trustworthiness, loyalty and reliability
  • Great leadership and communication skills to facilitate the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellence in teamwork and cooperation to identify, understand, and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholder
  • Project management skills to define resource requirements and deliverables according with the cluster needs
  • Very strong organizational skills, good attention to detail, and ability to progress multiple projects in parallel
  • Service-oriented personality, role model in manners, style and behavior to ensure the excellence in execution of the educational events and other activities
  • Good technical skills to manage different tools and applications
  • Excellent written and verbal English communications skills. German is a plus

Main job tasks and KPIs

In this role you are responsible to ensure excellence in the implementation of the educational strategy at cluster level, which includes:

  • Coordinate the communication with the key stakeholders per cluster
  • Align with internal and external stakeholders to successfully implement the educational strategy per cluster
  • Implement the operating model based on the Global Education Process
  • Compilate the KPI reports in the cluster
  • Ensure the accomplishment of the compliance regulations in the cluster
  • Implement the strategy in the cluster with the logistic partner for course material delivery
  • Manage, support and train Project Coordinators in the cluster and 3rd party providers
