In this role you are required to:

  • Manage assigned Educational Events in line with AO’s Global Education Process and Educational Guidelines in close collaboration with local surgeon leadership
  • Support the Course Chairs in the development of scientific programs to meet the given deadlines and manage event budget
  • Develop reliable working relationships with all internal and external involved stakeholders to enable strong engagement
  • Develop local networks by engaging and building strong relationships with local surgeons to embrace the local environment and understand the local needs
  • Manage and maintain AO communication channels in local language, create and translate necessary communications to local surgeons to local language
  • Provide secretariat service to local governance bodies, to organize governance meetings, support communications to national societies and associations

To master this challenge you have:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five years professional project management experience in similar positions
  • Experience in medical education event/course organization would be an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill and proven experience in managing complex events with multiple stakeholders
  • Influencing and networking abilities
  • Familiarity within a cross-cultural/-discipline working environment
  • Excellent written and verbal Japanese and English communications skills is a must
