The AO’s educational events facilitate training and expertise across our clinical specialties such as trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial, veterinary, and reconstructive surgery. Our regional Education Events teams are responsible for the planning, delivery, and on-site execution of all our educational events.

Main Responsibilities

 

Event Specialist

  • Support assigned educational events in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH)
  • Provide operational and administrative support for all related educational event activities and update activities in the event management system
  • Manage event participants for assigned educational events
  • Support the event execution on-site together with the Event Owner or other team members
  • Manage the collaboration with local agencies, suppliers and industry partners
  • Handle supplier invoices, control payment and monitor P&L reporting
  • Manage CME accreditation and compliance approvals of selected events


Research Coordinator

  • Coordinate regional research activities for all Clinical Specialties such as research fellowships, grants and awards
  • Manage internal and external communication for relevant research projects 
  • Prepare contracts and process invoices related to research fellowships and grants
  • Manage regional research budgets in close collaboration with the regional managers
  • Ensure proper storage and archiving of regional research documents 

Main Requirements

 

  • Degree in relevant field (e.g., hospitality, event management, public relations, communications, marketing) or higher Education “Fachausweis“
  • Proven track record of professional experience in event organization or project management (2-3 years) ideally in a medical environment
  • Strong organizational-, project- and event management skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain relations with Health Care Professional at all levels and broader stakeholders
  • Good problem solving and strong analytical skills as well as proven ability to prioritize task
  • Fluency in English and German is a must
  • This is a temporary role (maternity replacement) for one year
